Scholarships

I have been granted a number of scholarships throughout my time at UVic, most awarded based on academic merit and community engagement. I have listed each scholarship below along with their amount.

BC Achievement Scholarship worth $1250

The BC Achievement scholarship recognizes the 8,000 secondary school graduates with the top academic achievement in the province.

Lindgren Wade Award for Community Engagement worth $1000

This award is given to an undergraduate student with a declared major in Political Science who has demonstrated community involvement. Approval of the recipient is made by the Senate Committee on Awards upon the recommendation of the Department of Political Science.

Leo Chan Memorial Scholarship in Political Science worth $1390

This scholarship is awarded to academically outstanding undergraduate students in the Major or Honours program in Political Science. Preference is given to students who have an interest in Canadian Politics and who can demonstrate leadership and/or community involvement.

Colonel R.O. Bull Scholarship Fund worth $1500

This award is offered to students entering UVic from Canadian secondary schools based on academic merit.

President’s Entrance Scholarship worth $3500

An entrance scholarship awarded to academically outstanding students entering the University of Victoria directly from secondary schools.

West Coast Auto Group Football Club Scholarship worth $750

A scholarship awarded to members of WCAGFC players, referees, or staff who have exemplified sportsmanlike behaviour, loyalty, and skill while playing soccer with the club. Secondary school grades are also taken into account.

AcuCares Foundation Scholarship Award worth $1500

This award is given to applicants related to Acuren Employees, taking into consideration an applicant’s ambition, motivation, character, and past academic success.

 TWU-UWU Local 1944 Scholarship worth $1000

A scholarship awarded to children of active union members graduating from high school. This scholarship considers a participant’s leadership values and labour knowledge.
