Skills and Qualifications

Graduating with a double major has provided me with valuable skills specific to my goals of community-based advocation. In Political Science, we study policy and government critically and in-depth. I have taken courses specific to Canadian policy, international relations, and political theory. As such, I am educated on navigating a number of political arenas and can provide informed advice and service to my community.

In Gender Studies, we learn important skills in intersectionality and reflexivity when approaching research, community work, and/or social interactions. These practices make up my identity as a scholar and activist. I have learned how to engage with, educate, and listen to a variety of community members in order to find meaningful solutions to complex social issues. To find out more about these specific moments of education, along with my work experience, please see my attached resume and letter of intent.
